This company has local phone numbers across the US. We are in Kansas City, MO and used their service the beginning of February. We were overcharged and spoke with a supervisor who told us they would refund us eighty dollars. I have called once or twice a week since then and keeping getting told they will return call in three to five days. Yesterday I was told he would definitely call me today. Still waiting, called back and asked to speak with a supervisor, he said he was on another call so I told him I would hold. He rudely said he had to keep his line open for calls and he would have him call me back. I said I will give him an hour then I would call back every hour until I can speak to him. I spoke with the Better Business Bureau today and they are now involved as well. Sad that it has been three months! Worst service ever.
24/7 false I called at 2am hour later they called back and didn't send anyone til 9am. 19$ to come out and 25$ labor. Had no choice but to pay or be late for work by the time they showed up.
I had the unfortunate incident of locking my keys in my car on the eve of the expected Snow-megadon Round 2. A quick search on google brought up Benjamin Locksmith, based out of Louisiana but apparently they have branches nationwide.
The representative had a very thick accent and I was a bit worried that my call had been rerouted to a call center in India. But he assured me that a tech was in the area and would give me a call once I gave him my location. When asked for a quote, the rep stated that it would be a $19.95 service fee plus whatever the tech would say before the work began but it should not amount to more than $50.
40 minutes later, the tech appears, after glancing at my car; he says the fee would be $175. Hilarious that they thought they could rip me off. I declined and said no thanks and sorry for making the drive out for nothing because I could get Progressive to come out for free.
At this point, he starts to become aggressive and stands super close to me, raising his voice. What about $160? Nope, sorry thats more than the original quote. So he says he's going to make a call to the office and proceeds to price haggle me.
He really would not take no for an answer but I was firm on the original quote of $50, so after 5 minutes he rudely says Fine! $50 CASH!
The guy was very rude, but did manage to get my car opened in short time.
I've had other encounters with locksmiths and this by far is my worst experience. It felt like I was haggling with a used car salesman.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT CHARGED 200.00 FOR A 40.00 JOB THEY SAID IT WOULD BE!!! THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESS IS A CROCK OF BS!!! I WILL COMPLAIN EVERYDAY TO HAVE THEM SHUT DOWN!!! DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!! THEY ARE CON ARTIST!!!!
My son locked his keys in the car. He was quoted a $20 service call and was told they would give him the final price when they arrived and assessed the situation. Upon arrival (an hour later) he was told again it would be $20. He authorized them to go ahead. 2 minutes later the lock was popped. The tech proceeded to charge him $200 and then told him if he paid with a debit card he'd knock off 10%. The tech wasn't very good at math and charged him $175. My son is a child who has never had to deal with these type of things. When an adult tells you, you owe $175 you pay it. My wife called immediately posing as a new customer. She was quoted $20. She then said,"I think you owe my son a refund then." They have given her the runaround and will not put any of us on the phone with anyone who has the authority to issue a refund. I will be making this a personal crusade.
